WHAT IS PAINTBALL?
The ultimate game of tag in natural forest surroundings. Two teams compete to "capture" each other's flag in a strategic make-up of trees and structures. Players use air-propelled "paintguns" to mark and eliminate opponents with non-toxic paintballs. Top
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I AM HIT WITH A PAINTBALL?
If the ball breaks anywhere on you or your equipment, you are eliminated from that game. Return to staging and get ready for the next game. Continuous 30 min. games, 8+ games played per day. Top
DOES IT HURT?
The referee staff at Paintball Jungle ensures that all the correct standards of the game are followed. Every paintgun is checked for velocity (chronographed) before every game so that the paintballs are flying at less than 290 feet per second. At these speeds, the ball's impact is more startling than painful, something like the quick sting of a fat rubberband. No experience is necessary. At Paintball Jungle special attention is given to beginner players, beginners'games are offered, along with top-line rentals, to guarantee that a fun time is had by all. Top
DO I NEED TO SHOW UP WITH A TEAM OR HAVE RESERVATIONS TO PLAY?
Paintball Jungle is open to the public every Saturday & Sunday, 8:30-4:00, year round & no reservations are needed. Come by yourself or with a group of friends. Teams will be divided so that they are evenly matched, while allowing players who want to play together to do so. Private games are also available on weekends by reservation. Weekday games are available by reservation to groups of 30 or more. (See Group Info for details.} Top
WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE? HOW LONG ARE THE GAMES?
The park opens at 8:30. A short orientation follows sign-in at 9:00. The players are then divided into teams and the first game begins. Late arriving players throughout the day are signed in and given orientation, then may join the next game to be started. Each game ends when the flag is hung or when time is called at 30 min. Everyone returns to staging and gets ready for the next game which starts in 5 min. Games are continuous all day until 4:00 with a 30 min. lunch break at 12:15. The pizza truck sells slices at $2, or you're welcome to pack lunch. Soft drinks and snacks are also available and cold, fresh drinking water is provided. The lunch break ends with the daily raffle of a dozen prizes. (Raffle ticket included with admission.) Then continuous games resume all afternoon, making it an action-packed, fun-filled day for all. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO PLAY?
Admission is $20. per person/day and includes use of goggles & face mask. Semi-auto rentals start at $20/day. Paintballs and CO2 refills are separate and usually average $20-40. per person, depending on how much you shoot. Beginners usually average 500-1000 shots/day, requiring 1-3 $2 CO2 refills. Paintball Jungle offers fresh, premium quality paintballs at low, player-friendly prices, starting at $50/case 2000. (See price list for specific brand name and quantity prices.) High-pressure nitrogen fills also available at $10/day, unlimited fills. Top
WHAT DO I WEAR?
Camouflage or dark colored, loose fitting, light-weight clothing that you don't mind getting dirty. (Paintballs wash out.) Protective gear is provided at the field. Rental clothing is available at a small charge. Top
WHAT IS THE TERRAIN LIKE?
American Canyon Paintball Jungle is located in a flat, lush Eucalyptus grove. Its 50 acres of playing fields include forts, bunkers, speedball course, teepee village, and team practice fields. WHO IS MAGIC CARPET BOB?
Resident pro and 1991 World Paintball Champion, Magic Carpet Bob provides a safe and friendly environment for people of all ages and diverse backgrounds to have fun in the woods in this exciting sport. Opponents who shoot Carpet Bob during a flag game are awarded a shooter's patch. Top
WHO ARE THE SAN FRANCISCO HORNETS?
Founded & captained by Magic Carpet Bob, the SF Hornets Paintball Team members are picked for sportsmanship first and are always expected to be positive role models for the sport. While primarily a recreational team, all Hornets are eligible for tournament play. As the home of the Hornets, American Canyon Paintball Jungle features the team in the game of BEESWAX, in which all players join together in the hunt to track & eliminate the San Francisco Hornets for prizes.
